Service Description

Ready to enter the world of Coders? Ready to create Music using Coding Kits for Micro Bit and Raspberry PI boards? Want to Code in a group of fun and engaging tutors who "get you and always happy to help "? Learn to Code and Create Music and think Smarter-Skills for Children who think & engage differently. At the centre of everything we do is Creative Music Tech Coding that challenges and inspires. We use the language of music — rhythm, pattern, cause and effect, listening, composing — as the on-ramp into real computational thinking, using tools like the BBC micro:bit and Raspberry Pi. Where a younger learner builds a short looped melody, a Kingfisher-age learner builds structured compositions with layered logic, working with Raspberry Pi-based sound and sensor projects, and starts understanding not just that code works, but why — and how to plan a build before touching a keyboard. Every session, every project, and every piece of feedback is designed to build a specific set of thinking skills that will serve them for the rest of their life, wrapped inside an experience that feels ambitious, musical, and full of energy. You've already made a deliberate choice to shape your teenager's education around who they actually are, rather than a fixed system — Code Club Kingfishers is built to sit inside that philosophy, not against it. We offer a Code Club-listed, Raspberry Pi Foundation-aligned curriculum with real structure and real progress evidence — genuinely useful if you're keeping educational records — delivered inside a small, safe, socially rich weekly environment that many home-schooled teenagers don't otherwise get regular access to, combined with small-group online support that kicks in right away so learning momentum doesn't drop between weeks. It's the combination of structure, safety, social connection, and continuous support that makes this membership work. 📈 Learning Milestones and Objectives 💠Explore terms and foundations of coding including Microbits and their applications in a project 💠 Get a genuine real coding and music-production practice 💠 Use music-led coding to sharpen real computational thinking and problem solving
