Sanderlings Monthly Code Club 8-11years

Service Description

If you've been searching "coding club near me," "STEM club for homeschoolers Southend-on-Sea," or "music tech club Shoeburyness," Code Club Sanderlings is built exactly for families like yours. This is a structured, values-led skills club for children aged 8 to 11 who learn through exploring outside the traditional classroom — not a one-off activity session, but a genuine flow of project based thinking with real curriculum, real progress, and real community. At the centre of everything we do is Creative Music Tech Coding that challenges and inspires. We use the language of music — rhythm, pattern, cause and effect, listening, composing — as the on-ramp into real computational thinking, using tools like the BBC micro:bit and Raspberry Pi. Every session, every project, and every piece of feedback is designed to build a specific set of thinking skills that will serve your child for the rest of their life, wrapped inside an experience that feels playful, musical, and full of energy. You've already made a deliberate choice to shape your child's education around who they actually are, rather than a fixed system — Code Club Sanderlings is built to sit inside that philosophy, not against it. We offer a Code Club-listed, Raspberry Pi Foundation-aligned curriculum with real structure and real progress evidence — genuinely useful if you're keeping educational records — delivered inside a small, safe, socially rich weekly environment that many home-schooled children don't otherwise get regular access to, combined with small-group online support that kicks in right away so learning doesn't stop between weeks. It's the combination of structure, safety, social connection, and continuous support that makes this experience work. 📈 Learning Milestones and Objectives 💠 Give every child a genuine weekly rhythm of structured, real coding practice — not a one-off session 💠 Use music-led coding to make abstract computational concepts tangible: rhythm, pattern, cause and effect 💠 Build real, evidenced project based progress aligned to Code Club and the Raspberry Pi Foundation 💠 Provide small-group online support between sessions so learning momentum.
